Brilliant Blue Girl, Imported German Riding Pony

from Weser-Ems Oldenburg area

1994, chesnut mare with flaxen mane and tail. 14.2  w/permanent measurement card.  She is by Blue Star (Black Boy) out of Starlett by Brilliant.  These are renouned German riding pony bloodlines that have many successful offspring competing in Europe in both dressage and jumping.  Brilliant Blue Girl is currently doing 2nd and 3rd level work including half pass in trot and canter, counter canter serpentine,  renvers, travers,  turn on haunches, and the beginning of changes.

Blue Girl was selected as a 4 year old for the Elite Vechta auction where she sold to a young German boy who showed her in both dressage and jumpers up through "L" level.  (This is equivalent to about 2nd level USDF tests.  The jumping is equivalent to about the 3 foot division.)

Since she arrived in the USA last year, my son has shown in recognized dressage shows qualifying and winning some year end awards in his first year of shows.  He also showed in pony jumper shows, breed shows, pony club camps and competitions.  She has made quite a hit with everyone that has seen her.

She has taught my son how to ride correctly.  She is safe and fun, and very good at horse shows.  She can be trail ridden.  Her 2nd trail ride was a mock fox hunt where she jumped 3'6" stone walls, coops and drop jumps.   She looks and moves very much like a small warmblood, once earning the score of "9" for gaits.  She is suitable for a small lady or child who is ambitious to compete in many disciplines.  She also would make an excellent asset to a breeder interested in Sport Ponies.  She is available for sale to a new loving home at the end of the 2002 show season only because my son grew 6 inches this past year!.

We have enjoyed her immensely and want to ensure she can continue to provide happiness and a great learning experience to another child or small adult.  We have a current video showing all of her dressage work, competing in dressage and jumping.  Brilliant Blue Girl and her green, young rider were awarded the Grand Champion at Training level for Recognized Shows for the VADA/NOVA Chapter.  They also earned the Champion Ribbon at the VADA/NOVA Year End Championship show.  Her rider has ridden one year.  SOLD  Congratulations to Helen Fendel and the Equestrian Center at Horse Creek, LLC
